I tested the ADM with my setup, and found that by default my setup (Ex 2003/Outlook 2007, Full access to the second users mailbox) already placed the sent item in both users Sent Items (the primary Exchange account and the send as). Make sure you uncheck "View>Filtering>Only Show Policy Settings that can be Fully Managed" or the policy will appear empty. It will be under User>Admin Templates>Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 in GPO. Its an easy edit if you want to change the descriptions. Sorry if the verbage in the policy is confusing, this is somewhat hard to describe. If you are on 2007 for GPO or running Vista/7 you may need to change the extension to ADMX and possibly do slight edit, although I think the basic commands are the same. please do NOT respond if you want to tell me I've asked the wrong question.Īttached an ADM that will set this. (I just feel like I'm missing something simple) hopefully!Īny suggestions? Ideas? Solutions are welcome. I think this is fairly simple and possibly just something different in Exchange 2007. I've even checked that when the user is responding it says "From:" yet it still goes to his sent items. Everything works fine in that they can check and respond to the email but I need the reponses from the service accounts to go in to that service accounts sent items. I then added the additional account(s) to the applicable users Outlook. Within Exchange and the EMC I have granted "full access permissions" as well as "reply on behalf of" permissions. It makes it difficult for those users who check the service email addresses to know if a different user may have already responded. UserA there is some overlap with the service accounts, 5 different users might access "service1", however when any of those users reply to an email recieved in to the services1 inbox, it is recorded in userA's sent items.
However, this feature works only if the Outlook DelegateSentItemsStyleregistry (Method 2 below) value is disabled. We have several users here who access (via adding additional accounts to Outlook) several email addresses, as an example: Because this new feature is handled by the server that's running Exchange Server, Outlook can be configured in online mode or cached Exchange mode.
